As I’ve mentioned many times before, a jeepney is a popular mode of transportation in the Philippines. They stop at somewhat regular places to pick up passengers and will drop passengers almost anywhere. The jeepneys on the road range in style from old and junky to new and pimped out with young guys running the show and jamming music.
The last full day I was in the Philippines I road in a jeepney with my wife and I decided to record some of the action. What you see in the video is an assistant, or conductor, who rides in the back. He calls for passengers, announces the destination, signals stops and resumes to the driver and also collects payments. This is a good way for the jeepney driver to make sure he doesn’t get ripped off by people who sneak in and out without paying.

Opera might be your problem. You can transfer your favorites (bookmarks) from Opera to Firefox. Look at this Opera 'how to' help article:http://www.opera.com/support/kb/view/183/

it's off-an-on thing. If I get the comment page, my comment gets through. It's getting the page to appear. Again, I'm on Opera. Firefox does not let me to transfer my favorites from Opera browser.

yeh gets you there faster than walking. (I've been having problems with the comment-page loading up in order to post a comment.)

I remember that, but I don't think 1 PHP is a big deal. Not in the long run.

haha this just reminded me that i forgot to pay the fx driver one time because i was to preoccupied thinking that i needed to pee at megamall and the ride took forever.

It is exciting, that's true. It can be dangerous though. I suppose if you have to do it all the time it gets boring, but I always had fun with it.

My wife forgot to pay once too. It wasn't on purpose either. I guess you're right that after a while a driver would learn to recognize the body language of a person that intended to 'steal' a ride.

its very minimal cases that people tend to do purposely not to pay the jeepney. but there are cases that it is a purpose for some. even if the driver is alone, they are very sensitive to body language of the passenger.there are cases that i forgot to pay, it happened to me i was occupied. but i got away with it, even the driver thinks i paid. even i thought i paid, only to notice my pocket, money havent changed.lol
