Eating pizza at Mariella Pizza & Restaurant (180 3rd Avenue) in Manhattan, New York City, New York.

Hi! Welcome to my blog!  This blog is an all-purpose sort of deal that I’ll be updating regularly.  My name is Bradley.  I was born in the US, in Alaska.  My family has a history of military service and because of that I spent most of my young life moving from state to state and country to country.

I eventually took up the ‘sword’ and followed in the footsteps of my father and grandfather, spending roughly 8 years in the US Army before deciding that I wanted to try pursuing other career options.

Because of all this I’ve the opportunity to do quite a bit of traveling and I’ve seen quite a bit of the world.  Well, quite a bit compared to some people, but really just a fraction of what’s out there.  Besides Alaska, I’ve lived in Mississippi, Maryland, New York City, South Carolina, Georgia, Virginia, and Texas.  I’ve also lived in Germany, Qatar, Kuwait, Iraq, Singapore, and the Philippines.  I’ve also had the opportunity to visit Holland, Thailand and Malaysia.

If you look through the archives you can have a look at what I’ve written about the time I spent in:

Singapore

Orchard Road, the main shopping strip in Singapore, as seen from an open air landing in the Orchard Central mall.

Malaysia

The Petronas Towers in Kuala Lumpur, as seen in the Sean Connery and Catherine Zeta-Jones movie, Entrapment.

Thailand

The billboard outside the Simon Cabaret on Phuket Island, Thailand (aka a Ladyboy Show).

And even a trip to the Philippines, before I actually moved there for a more long-term stay.

Antipolo City, Rizal Province, Philippines

Currently, I’m living in New York City, going back to college full time, so you can expect to see a lot of posts about places, history and aspects of life in the New York City area.

One last thing: If you’re wondering why the images, especially the older ones, have watermarks with a bunch of different blog names on them, it’s due to the fact that blogging has been a trial and error process for me. I’ve changed the name of my blog (The Dropbox < Tales Over Coffee < The Adventures of Bradley) quite a few times and I even had multiple blogs. I eventually realized that it’s best to have it all in one place, though. So, rest assured, the photos are all mine. I’m not plagiarizing anyone’s work. I’m just too lazy to go back and re-upload all of the photos I’ve used over the years. I can’t even begin to imagine how much time that would take.

I hope you enjoy what you read here as much as I enjoy writing it!
