A Provocative (i.e., sexual) Musical Homage To Ray Bradbury

If you’re not familiar with who Ray Bradbury is, and his work, you’re probably not going to get a lot of this, but it’s worth watching anyway, if only for the catchy tune and girls.  Ray Bradbury was a prolific American author, most known for his book, Fahrenheit 451.  I wrote a post about Fahrenheit 451 early last month when I found out about two technologies that closely resemble things he wrote about in that book.  I haven’t read everything Ray Bradbury wrote, but for Fahrenheit 451 alone he’s one of my favorite authors.

I’m definitely not alone in that admiration, though I don’t think I would take it as far as the group that made the following music video did.  A group of people got together and made a video called, “Fuck Me, Ray Bradbury.”  The lead singer in the video is a girl who apparently has a serious thing for the author.  The video itself is very well done and is very well edited.

Check it out (Obviously very NSFW due to language):

Also, since I’m talking about Ray Bradbury, I also read a post today on Geekosystem about how he’s pretty pissed off with the state of the modern world.  He apparently doesn’t care for how things are going, the loss of interest in space exploration, or the idea of putting his books on an e-reader device:

“We have too many cellphones. We’ve got too many Internets. We have got to get rid of those machines. We have too many machines now.”

…I was approached three times during the last year by Internet companies wanting to put my books” on an electronic reading device, he said. “I said to Yahoo, ‘Prick up your ears and go to hell.’”

I wonder if Ray Bradbury is using one of those “Internets” to check out this homage and indecent proposal on YouTube?
